Duck Inn
Located in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood is Kevin Hickey’s Duck Inn. You may have heard about or tried the famous beef hot dog Kevin created at Four Seasons’ Allium. It’s still on their menu, but he’s created one for Duck Inn that is just as good. It’s so good, it was featured on A&E’s FYI’s Food Porn TV show.

The rotisserie duck is their other signature dish. It’s rather hearty and better shared since it’s a whole duck served on a wooden board with seasonal vegetables.
But besides duck, there is also a burger, always a seafood, beef and pork dish, and a hot chicken sandwich at brunch. The menu is perfectly-sized and having tried most of the items over several visits, you can’t go wrong with anything you order here. The vibe is relaxed and friendly, and in the warm months, the cozy patio is open. Duck Inn also has a tasting menu which is several portioned items from the dinner menu for a set price.
Who: Kevin Hickey (owner) and Kris Delee (Executive Chef)
Tips: Great selection of savory Sunday brunch items including chilaquiles, duck confit hash and a hot chicken sandwich. Cocktail game strong. Get on their mailing list for their iconic theme nights like Pizza Night, Fried Chicken Night, and their Luaus featuring roasted suckling pig.
Tasting Menu: $66
