During the weekends, you will see lines wrapping around the block for brunch. Head straight to the back of the first floor, grab a coffee and a pastry and head to the top floor where you can enjoy your sugar in peace. In the warmer months, sit outside on their gorgeous spacious outdoor patio.
It was disorienting at first since I used to live across the street and only knew the building as housing for female artists involved in music, painting and theater that hosted the occasional wedding or neighborhood garden walk.
I could imagine the artistic energy that must have danced through the building where the women once practiced, sang, painted and dreamt.
If there is a way to acknowledge the building’s history, that would make the female artist ghosts of the Gold Coast very happy.

Open seating policy.
