Boka

Boka Chicago hosted Michael Tusk of 3-star Michelin restaurant Quince for a collaboration dinner highlighting black and white truffles. My friend and I were the first to arrive so it was nice to be able to relax at the bar. We recognized almost everybody entering the restaurant. The other guests were other Boka Group employees, friends from other dining or wine group circles, chefs and restauranteurs which resulted in an overall warm, fun vibe. The event was smoothly run and there were black or white truffles served with each course. The dishes were creative and ambitious and they even served a special dish from Quince. For a limited time, Boka can add white truffles to any dish for a reasonable cost.

My appetite for more truffles has kicked in. I am excited to be meeting with Rare Tea Cellars next week to buy a truffle or two.

When I got home I realized my vest was inside out the entire night.
