Bouillon Bilk

Entering Bouillon Bilk from St Laurent Boulevard is like stepping into a chapter of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. From the street, the facade bends in with camera stores, equipment supply shops and vintage clothing retailers. The former shop’s “Electronics” sign remains hanging from the previous tenants. Once inside, you are transported to a minimalist, chic space with a high, buzzy energy. The walls, tablecloths, decor and even the patrons were dressed in black, grays and whites. A plate being whisked by hinted at intricate detailed, bright colored food.

In Montreal, it would be a shame not to end every meal with dessert so we ordered a variety of appetizers, entrees and of course, desserts.

Modern French-influenced cuisine in a bright, happy space.
