Lincoln Park Zoo | Lincoln Park Conservatory

Today the kids and I started our day at the newly opened The Bakery at Fat Rice. Afterwards we went to Longman & Eagle and talked about how good the breakfast potatoes were for about 13 minutes. Following lunch, we saw the newborn Grevy’s zebra at Lincoln Park Zoo, saw some flowers at the Lincoln Park Conservatory, bought a bench for the garden that nobody will ever sit on, then went home.

Lincoln Park Zoo

A female Grevy’s zebra foal was born at Lincoln Park Zoo on June 18. It’s just over 2 weeks old in these photos. The Grevy’s zebra population rapidly declined from 15,000 to 3,000 since the 1970s. In 2008, the population started to stabilize to remain around 2,500.
There is no admission fee to enjoy Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo which is open 365 days a year.

Adjacent to the Lincoln Park Zoo is the Lincoln Park Conservatory. Also free, this tropical paradise is open 365 days a year.

And then she wanted a bench for our garden.
