The first warm day in winter always brings Chicagoans out of hibernation. We know it might get really cold again so we take advantage of these kinds of days. Pale people are smiling, cars drive a little faster with the windows down, bikes with salt-stained tires are wobbling about and the day’s fashion trend is bright legs with shorts. My friend and I went to Diptyque to check out their latest fragrance release, grabbed a bite at Snaggletooth deli, then went to Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. I knew my friend loved ice cream but didn’t know how much until today. We sampled almost a dozen flavors before deciding which two flavors to mix together. I didn’t realize there was a better way to order ice cream than the way I had done it all these years.
